ESPRESSO

COFFEe TO WATER Ratio (1:2)

COFFEE: 20g (2 leveled tbsp)

WATER / SHOT AMOUNT: 40ml (1.5 oz)

GRIND SIZE: Very Fine, Sand like.

BREW TIME: 24-28 seconds

Espresso is tricky and may take a few tries to “dial in” your machine. The grind size is the main element to adjust if your shot isn’t coming out quite right.

TIPS:

  1. If it brews too fast, it’ll be sour. Make the grind size finer.

  2. if it extracts too slow, it will be bitter. Make the grind size more coarse.

  3. Make sure you tamp it down evenly with enough pressure to make the grounds tight and compact.
